BEGINNERS

Lessons are %100 tailored to exactly what you want to learn, with the best techniques and tips to complement your specific direction and interests.

LEARN THE EASIEST POSSIBLE WAY TO PLAY THIS INSTRUMENT

So many times students have come to me saying they find it difficult to physically play the guitar. After 2 minutes looking at their technique, it is not hard to see why. Why make it more difficult than it has to be? Learn the best techniques to play this instrument with the least amount of work possible. "Let the instrument do the work for you"

LEARN WHAT YOU WANT

Some people want to learn to read music, some people want to learn how to read Tablature, some people don't want to learn how to read at all, they just want to play. All this is taken in consideration when your lesson plan is being created to do exactly what you want to do and fast track you in the direction you want to go to get there as quickly as possible.

LEARN YOUR FAVOURITE SONGS AND STYLES

I am always so much more inspired to learn and play when I am working on something I love. So this is one of the main principals of my teaching style. You pick your favourite songs and styles and everything else is tailored around this. Begin learning your favourite songs from Day 1, no song too easy or too hard- we can make it work.

INTERMEDIATE

I often have people come to me saying things like I am feeling stuck in my playing and I'm not sure where to go from here, or I have been playing the same thing for such a long time and I'm ready to learn something new but just not sure how to do this. Perfect!

SPEAK OPENLY ABOUT WHERE YOU'RE AT

Tell me everything about what you've done up until now, what you like and what you don't like. Tell me what you are interested in as specifically or un-specifically as you are able. Then together we will work out your new direction, and then create and tailor your lessons/course accordingly.

CREATING YOUR SOUND

Feeling like you are unsure of how to get the sound you are looking for? I offer a vast knowledge in acoustic and electric guitars, pedals, effects, amplifiers, speakers, and much more. So rather than spending years buying gear that eventually doesn't work as you want it to, or spending months researching, let's fast track and get it worked out today. Trust me know, I know this story oh so well.

IMPROVISATION

This is my favourite thing to teach. Having spent many of my younger years studying classical music, I developed a fantastic attention to detail in regard to technique, perfection and replication of music, however improvisation was something very foreign to me.

It was not until I started my diploma and degree in jazz where I submerged into improvisation, which then lead me into blues, rock, metal, funk, Latin, speed, style, tone and so much more. I have so much more to say on this topic, but for now, one of my specialties is teaching improvisation, how to to create incredible solos in whichever style and direction you wish to go, breaking down melody, rhythm, and bringing out your soul through your solos and creativity. For me, this area of improvisation and endless creativity has been the most fulfilling aspect of my playing. As well as song writing...

SONG WRITING

The most rewarding aspect of my playing has been writing, creating, and recording original music. Myself and many of the best artist I have worked with say "The only thing feeling that comes close to writing new music is falling in love", and that pretty much sums it up for me. I have written, recorded, and released 7 albums of my original music, as well as been a studio musician on 100's of other artists original albums. Share with me what artists, sounds and styles you love, and I will tailor all I can to give you the inspiration and direction you need to create your music and share your magic.

ADVANCED

I have been blessed to assist many of my advanced students in being accepted into Tafe, University, and Music Schools they have always dreamed of being accepted into. I have also taught and lectured at many of these institutions around the world. The more I learn, the more I realise there is to learn.

GENRES

Feeling like you would like to learn more advanced styles of music? Jazz, Metal, Classical, etc. Maybe now is the time?

SCALES, STYLES, SPEED AND RHYTHM

I offer a vast knowledge of scales, modes, voicings, intervals, aural training and awareness, advanced chord structures, advanced scalic and improvisational techniques, rhythm's, cross rhythms, poly rhythms, odd time signatures and much more. I am able to tailor this around any genre of music you are wanting to go with. I offer clear and versatile techniques tailored to your style to increase awareness and versatility in knowledge, technique, speed, and general effortlessness in playing exactly as you want to play.
